RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Providing customers with trusted and expert advice on all areas of personal lines insurance.
  • Strive to meet or exceed sales targets by carrying out all associated selling functions including quoting new business leads and trying to win back prior customers that might have left.
  • Respond to all referrals and client requests in a timely matter as outlined by Leibel Insurance Group standards.
  • Building and growing a book of business through referrals, networking, account rounding, etc.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all communication with clients, prospects, underwriters, etc. per company standards.
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with co-workers and underwriters.
  • Comply with Leibel Insurance Group minimum client and service standards.
  • Providing accurate quotes to prospects/clients and attempting to secure all lines of business.
  • Upsell and cross sell all lines of business available.
  • Setting up financing for monthly premiums when applicable.
  • Preparing documentation for insurers, completing applications for new clients, issuing insurance binders and pink cards.
  • Providing contact info on which broker will be assigned to service their needs going forward.
  • Reviewing and completion of daily abeyances; with follow ups no more than 30 days behind.
  • Work leads within our Customer Relationship Management program (CRM) until contact has been made.
  • Follow our new business workflow.

WHAT YOU BRING:  

  • High degree of professionalism and integrity.
  • License in good standing with the Alberta Insurance Council;
    minimum Level 1 General Insurance license however must complete level 2 within a 6 months period.
  • 2+ years of personal lines experience preferably in a brokerage.
  • Insurance designations such as CAIB or CIP are considered an asset.
  • Positive and respectful attitude with both clients and co-workers.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Providing customers and assigned alpha split with prompt service by providing advice, helping customers understand insurance, discussing customer concerns, including but not limited to walk-ins, emails, and phone calls.
  • Entering clients’ information on our BMS and or Policy Works.
  • Creating a Binder for all new and existing business and ensure liability certificates are provided to all Insureds before the renewal.
  • Preparing documentation for insurers completing applications for new clients, issuing insurance certificates.
  • Communicating with Insurance companies, negotiating with underwriters on customers behalf, negotiating renewal of terms, following up with Adjusters on claims status.
  • Continuously updating client information on computer system.
  • Updating of insurance summaries to correspond with current change requests.
  • Notifying clients of changes.
  • Keeping current with abeyance’s and workload.
  • Backup for Account Executives, if required.
  • All claims must be sent to the Insurer, following up with the client during the next business day ensuring the claim has been handled appropriately.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of High School.
  • License in good standing with the Alberta Insurance Council, minimum Level II General Insurance license.
  • 5+ years of commercial lines experience preferably in a brokerage.
  • Insurance designations such as CAIB or CIP are an considered an asset.
  • Experience with Power Broker and Policy Works considered an asset.
  • Positive and respectful attitude with both clients and co-workers.
  • The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently or as part of a team, manage a busy book of business for multiple Account Executives, and be self-motivating and detail orientated.

  • Respond to all referrals and client requests in a timely matter as outlined by Leibel Insurance Group standards.
  • Consistent and accurate input of client information and activity within BMS and CRM systems including Power Broker, Policy Works and CompuQuote.
  • Maintain and manage account receivables, forwarding payments to Insurers.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all communication with clients, prospects, underwriters, etc., as per company standards.
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with co-workers and underwriters.
  • Prepare documentation for insurers, complete applications for new clients, issue insurance binders and pink cards.
  • Effective communication with Insurance companies, negotiate with underwriters on clients behalf, follow up with adjusters on claims status.
  • Notify clients of changes; including renewal reviews and policy updates.
  • Review and completion of daily abeyances; with follow up no more than 30 days behind.
  • Attend to underwriters’ requests, including the production of applications, billing notices, and any other requests..
  • Marketing of existing risks which may include providing proposals to the various insurers for quotations for renewal.
  • Respond to quotes which include online leads provided and referrals immediately. These are typically accounts under $5000 in premium.

QUALIFICATION:

  • High degree of professionalism and integrity.
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, reliable, and ability to prioritize.
  • License in good standing with the Alberta Insurance Council
  • Level 2 General Insurance License.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, manage their own book of business and be self-motivating and detail orientated.
  • 3-5 years of Commercial Lines experience preferably in a brokerage.
  • Insurance designation, such as CAIB or CIP, or working towards, considered an asset.
  • Experience with Power Broker and Policy Works considered an asset
    Positive and respectful attitude with both clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to manage your own book of business, to work independently, and as part of a team, which is remotely located.

This role of the Account Executive is to prospect and close new business in Alberta along with managing growing existing client base. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily prospecting, new client acquisition and client retention.
